The Board of Trustees for Catholic Charities of Tennessee, Inc. has elected officers and new members for the 2018-2019 fiscal year, according to Pamela Russo, executive director of the agency. The officer terms began on July 1, 2018 and run through June 30, 2019.
Executive Committee members for 2018-2019 are: President John Rodgers (pictured at left), Partner, Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, Nashville; Vice President Matt Curley, Partner, Bass Berry & Sims, Nashville; Secretary Allen Arender, Vice President of Development, Holladay Properties, Nashville; Treasurer Stefan Caulfield, Project Manager, Mars Inc., Franklin; and Program Oversight Committee Chair Rochelle Reding, Realtor, Coldwell Banker Barnes, Old Hickory.
Joining the Board for three-year terms are Deacon William Hill, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, William McGugin, Chief Executive Officer, Iroquois Capital Group/Reit Investment Group, Nashville; Jim McIntyre, President, Father Ryan High School, Nashville; and Greg Pope, Chief Mission Integration Officer, Ascension Health/Saint Thomas Health, Nashville.
"Board members provide us with a tremendous diversity of experience and interests, while helping us connect with community resources and the people we serve," said Russo.
"The board is such an integral part in our program planning, promotional efforts, and development initiatives. We are honored to have so many talented and knowledgeable people volunteering their services on our Board."
Continuing their service on the Catholic Charities Board are: Steve Bachus, community volunteer; Clark Baker, Consultant for YMCA of Middle Tennessee; Anne Blaufuss, Ardent Health; John Brew, Gresham, Smith & Partners; Katherine Duck, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.; Gina Emmanuel, Centric Architecture; William Farmer, Farmer Purcell White & Lassiter PLLC; Stacy Garrett Koju, Bone McAllester Norton PLLC; Fr. Mark Hunt, Chaplain, Mercy Convent and Mary, Queen of Angels; Shandy Husmann, Huron Consulting Group; Eric Lawson, TriStar Health/HCA Healthcare; Mike Nunan, Nunan and Associates; Liz Schatzlein, community volunteer; Patrick Sheehy, Tennessee Business Roundtable; Russell Taber, Riley Warnock & Jacobson; and Michael Veinbergs, J P Morgan Chase Bank.
Serving on the board as Young Leaders Council Board interns are Emily Edwards, Metro Nashville Public Schools, Nashville, and Jeanne Marie Evans, Bass Berry & Sims, Nashville.
"While the start of a new Board term is always exciting, it also marks the end of Board service for several strong advocates for Catholic Charities," Russo continued. Concluding Board service on June 30th were Stephen Brophy, Dollar General; Christopher Kelly, Raymond James; and outgoing Board President Frederick Strobel, The Burgundy Group. Young Leaders Council Board Interns Sye Thomas Hickey, Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell Berkowitz, and Lauren Medvecz, Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, also ended their time with the Board on that day.
