Catholic Charities of Tennessee was founded in 1962 and currently serves the 36 counties of Middle Tennessee in the Diocese of Nashville. Following the example of Christ, Catholic Charities of Tennessee advocates for and provides services which enhance and enrich the quality of life for people in need. Under the direction of the Board of Trustees, the Executive Director provides leadership, ensures stewardship and fiscal accountability, builds productive relationships within the agency and throughout the Middle Tennessee community, plans and executes strategies, programs and goals consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of Catholic Charities of Tennessee. This is position will be based out of the Catholic Charities office located in the Catholic Pastoral Center in the Donelson neighborhood of Nashville.
•A practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church, able to respect, promote, accommodate, and not conflict with the mission, moral and social teachings, doctrines, and laws of the Roman Catholic faith.
•A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree in Social Work and/or Business Administration strongly preferred.
•Professional social work experience, with LCSW credentials preferred.
•At least two years of executive administration experience with a non-profit organization.
•Strong administrative, planning, and organizational leadership skills, especially in the areas of strategic planning, financial management, building effective teams and cultivating productive partnerships.
•Demonstrated success leading an organization's mission advancement and fundraising efforts.
•Excellent presentation skills including public speaking, verbal and written communication skills. Skill in producing concise reports and recommendations, making presentations to varied groups, and articulating an inspiring commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of Catholic Charities of Tennessee.
