MDHA Opening Wait List for 2 Elderly-only Properties (WKRN - Channel 2)

The Metro Housing Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) will be opening up waiting lists for two of its elderly-only properties in the coming days.

MDHA said they will accept online-only applications for Edgefield Manor starting at noon on Jan. 15 and the list will remain open indefinitely. Online-only applications for Carleen Batson Waller Manor from noon Jan 17 until 3 p.m. on Jan. 24.

Applicants must be at least 62-years-old to qualify.

Applications can be submitted 24 hours a day by clicking here. You will need a valid email address.

Assistance with the application will be provided by Catholic Charities of Tennessee from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday during the open application period at their C.E. McGruder Family Resource Center at 2013 25th Ave. North. Anyone needing access to a computer with internet service may visit a public library.

Applicants interested in Edgefield Manor who are in need of assistance may stop by the management office at 525 Shelby Ave. between 9 and 11 a.m. any Thursday beginning on Jan. 17, 2019.

Applicants interested in Carleen Batson Waller Manor who are in need of assistance may stop by the management office a 106 31st Ave. South between 9 and 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 or between 1 and 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019.
