Interpretation Translation Volunteer
Catholic Charities' refugee and immigration clients come from all over the world and speak many different languages. Interpretation volunteers would utilize their language skills to help translate various resettlement programs at the Catholic Charities office alongside Catholic Charities employees. Through both staff and volunteers providing interpretation/translation of many different languages, all of our clients will have the chance to participate in programs designed to help them adjust to their new, American lifestyles.
- Proficiency in English and one of the following languages: Arabic, Amharic, Farsi, Kiswahili, Kinyarwanda, French, Spanish, Burmese, Karin, Zombe, and Somali
- A willingness to translate patiently and effectively
- Ability to join an "as needed" email list and respond when available, or commit to reoccuring programs or classes
