Melissa Smith, LCSW, is a Clinical Services Program Manager at Catholic Charities. She holds a Masters in Social Work from UT Knoxville, as well as a Masters in Theological Studies from Vanderbilt Divinity School. As Program Manager, Melissa provides supervision to clinicians and interns in the Individual and Family Counseling Program, Hope Trauma Counseling Program and School-based Services. She specializes in working with children and adolescents and has worked with clients to address issues including trauma and attachment, anxiety, depression, social skills, and ADHD, among others. She has a certificate in Trauma Studies from UTK, as well as trauma-specific training including EMDR, Theraplay, and the Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC) model. Melissa has a long history of working in the non-profit sector and is committed to removing barriers to access high-quality mental healthcare.
