Catholic Charities Family Resource Center at C. E. McGruder serves all of North Nashville from a central location at 2013 25th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37208. In this one location, North Nashville residents find help with the many services that Catholic Charities offers as well as those from community partners.
McGruder frequently hosts community meetings and offers residents recreational opportunities, including fields, courts, and a community garden.

Co-locating Partners at C.E McGruder
- Black Mental Health Village – whole-person healing and mental health education through community-led initiatives and group support for the Black and minoritized communities impacted by trauma, poverty, or lack of mental health care access.
- Department of Human Services – SNAP enrollment and recertification assistance with DHS representative on the first Monday of each month.
- Free Hearts – support, education, and advocacy for families affected by incarceration, aiming to reunite and maintain family unity
- McGruder Social Practice Artist Residency – opportunities for artists to engage with Catholic Charities, co-locating partners, local HBCUs, and the North Nashville community, fostering collaborations on social justice, history, and cultural preservation
- MyBaby4Me – community program focused on lowering the rate of infant and maternal mortality, through one on-one support, weekly group meetings, material support
- Music City Community Court – initiatives focused on preventative, diversionary, and restorative justice and uplifting marginalized individuals, with Judge Rachel Bell presiding
- Nashville Food Project – community garden
- Nashville Soccer Club – opportunities for youth in the community to learn the game and play soccer with help from the NSC team
