Catholic Charities Family Resource Center at C. E. McGruder

Catholic Charities Family Resource Center at C. E. McGruder serves all of North Nashville from a central location at 2013 25th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37208. In this one location, North Nashville residents find help with the many services that Catholic Charities offers as well as those from community partners. 

McGruder frequently hosts community meetings and offers residents recreational opportunities, including fields, courts, and a community garden.

What We Do 

Catholic Charities offers a wide range of life-giving programs and services tailored to the needs of our community:

  • Black Mental Health Villagewhole-person healing and mental health education through community-led initiatives and group support for the Black and minoritized communities impacted by trauma, poverty, or lack of mental health care access.
  • Department of Human ServicesSNAP enrollment and recertification assistance with DHS representative on the first Monday of each month.
  • Free Heartssupport, education, and advocacy for families affected by incarceration, aiming to reunite and maintain family unity
