NNFRC Intake Specialist

The McGruder/North Nashville Family Resource Center is looking for an Intake Specialist will assist program clients by meeting with them to assess needs, identifying barriers to current situation and complete appropriate intake forms. The Intake Specialist will also assist in assembling food boxes and work with outside resources, such as Second Harvest, to order, receive and assemble food boxes.

Post Refugee and Immigration Safe Release Specialist

The primary function of this position is to perform digital fingerprint scanning for family members seeking custody of migrant minors in temporary care. Daily activities include helping family sponsors complete paperwork necessary for fingerprinting, conducting fingerprint scans, ensuring accurate transmission of documents electronically, and maintaining electronic files for all cases. The Program Specialist is also responsible for handling walk-in sponsors in accordance with the fingerprint calendar. 

This position is full-time and based at the Catholic Pastoral Center at 2806 McGavock Pike, Nashville, TN 37214. Hours total 37.5 per week and include evenings, until 8:00 pm, and daytime hours on weekends.

Part-time Refugee Youth Specialist

Catholic Charities has openings for afters-chool staff in the Refugee Youth Program in its Refugee & Immigration Services Department. This position is part-time, approximately 16-20 hours per week based the Catholic Pastoral Care Center at 2806 McGavock Pike, Nashville, TN 37214.

Hours are in the late afternoon/early evening, Monday through Thursday.

Refugee Youth Mentors

Are you looking for an opportunity to be a positive role model in a young person’s life and support the refugee population in Nashville? Apply to be a Refugee Youth Mentor today!

Here at Catholic Charities, the Young Adult Refugee Youth Mentoring Program caters to the needs of youth and young adults ages 15-24 who are working towards their academic, social-emotional, and vocational goals. We are seeking caring mentors who can work with mentees on goal-setting, academic help and college application support, social-emotional learning, and getting adjusted to Nashville. You will receive training before being matched as well as ongoing support from Catholic Charities for the duration of your mentorship.

Hours are flexible, and virtual or in-person options are available.

Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Commit to six months of mentoring for 1-2 hours/week
  • Background check, fingerprinting, and pre-match training
  • Sincere desire to be a supportive figure in the life of a refugee youth
  • Respect people of different cultural backgrounds
