The Culinary Training Academy prepares students to work in food service jobs in Nashville’s thriving hospitality industry, including hotels and restaurants.
The intensive, 8-week program is lead by chefs Mark Rubin and Keith Batts and focuses on experiential learning in a working commercial kitchen located at the Catholic Charities at C. E. McGruder.
The program also includes off-site field trips that allow students to see the skills they are learning being used in a commercial kitchen.
The academy is certified by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. Many CTA students choose to continue their education at Nashville State Community College following graduation.
