Basic Needs

North Nashville

Program Overview

Since its creation in 1981, North Nashville Outreach has provided residents of North Nashville with temporary and emergency material assistance, primarily in ways tied to food and shelter.

Although the program's origins are tied to the distribution of food and temporary emergency financial assistance, financial literacy training has become an increasingly important element of our services.

These classes allow us to work with clients and their families to help develop fresh perspectives on household finances. Our ultimate goal is to empower clients to carefully consider spending habits and income, as well as life's unexpected financial surprises, so as to enhance personal and family financial awareness and stability. We want our clients and their families to have a stronger financial future.

Case management services and referrals to other community service providers are also available to our clients, residents of zip code areas 37208, 37218, 37228, and portions of 37203.

North Nashville Outreach is open Monday - Friday for walk-ins from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon and in the afternoon from 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. by appointment only. Call 615-242-1554 to make an appointment.
