Tandy Jackson, Clinical Therapist, LPC-MHSP
Tandy Jackson provides services in both our School-based Services and Individual and Family Counseling programs. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation (LPC-MHSP) in the state of Tennessee. Tandy graduated with her M.S. and Ed. S degrees from Harding University in 2019 and has 5 years of experience working with children, teenagers, and adults.
Tandy is dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and empowering space for clients to heal and grow. She tailors her treatment approach to meet the unique needs and experiences of each client and prioritizes the client-therapist relationship, which is often the best predictor of success in therapy.
Tandy works with children, teenagers, and adults to provide support with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, family changes, grief/loss, stress, emotional regulation, or major life changes.
Tandy practices from a trauma-informed perspective and is trained in and utilizes interventions from Narrative Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Theory, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, Theraplay-based activities, and elements of sand tray, art, mindfulness, and play therapy. Tandy will be participating in Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) training summer 2024.
When she is not working, Tandy enjoys spending time outside, cooking, baking, playing sports, reading a delightful book, or spending time with friends.
