Allison Milam Diehl, LMSW, is the Hope Program Coordinator and an Individual & Family Program Counselor at Catholic Charities of Tennessee. Allison graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work with an MSSW and the Trauma Treatment Graduate Certificate. In her role as counselor, she provides counseling to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families to address issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
As the Hope Program Coordinator, Allison supports the Hope team in providing excellent, evidence-based counseling to children and adolescents. She also enjoys offering trainings to help schools and organizations better understand trauma, how it impacts their staff, students, and clients, and how to be trauma-informed. Allison uses a client-centered approach to counseling and incorporates CBT, EMDR, TF-CBT, and other therapeutic models based on the client’s treatment goals.
