Please join us for our 2024 Festival of Hope breakfast where we will celebrate the accomplishments of graduates of our job training programs. Our event will include onsite demonstrations by our Sewing Training Academy.

We are excited to highlight the holistic work we do in helping people to achieve self-reliance. While we serve across a broad spectrum of needs, from emergency assistance, to emotional support, to workforce development, many in the community are less familiar with our successful job training.

Beginning with our successful Cuban-styled festival in 2022, we have adopted an upbeat and festive Latino/Cuban theme for our annual event, with authentic food, music, and more. We are excited to welcome you to the spacious, light-filled Ascension Hall, part of our home office at the Catholic Pastoral Center (with plenty of free parking!). Bishop J. Mark Spalding will be on hand to give a blessing and Channel 5 news anchor Rhori Johnston will be our master of ceremonies.

We partner with sewing, construction, banking, and culinary industry leaders, educational institutions as well community-based organizations, county, and state government to help deliver the each of four training opportunities.

Our Festival of Hope breakfast event allows us to connect with friends old and new, build awareness for our programs, and solicit financial support to serve the ever increasing number of people in need.

How is Catholic Charities vital today?

The last few years have resulted in extraordinary hardships and uncertainty for many. With our promise of “love, hope, and healing,” our goal is to provide the tools that people need to thrive and be self-reliant; counseling, therapy, and resource navigation, as well as job readiness, mentoring, and skills training. Yes, we provide food, shelter, and emergency assistance every day, but we also offer specialized support for those who need it.

Why does Catholic Charities need financial support?

As a leading social services provider, we serve our neighbors regardless of faith tradition, with a staff from many religious backgrounds – not just Catholic. Only five percent of our revenue is provided by the diocese and church donations. Financial support from corporations, foundations, and individuals is critical to meeting the needs of our neighbors. Please support the ongoing work of Catholic Charities by participating in Festival of Hope. Many of our neighbors need your help. By joining us you give them love, hope, and healing.
